For Two Years, His Answer Was "It's Nothing." It Wasn't Nothing.

Here's the full recipe you asked for. Right below it, the part I only share privately.

by Brooke, a wife who stopped accepting "I'm just tired"

The Morning Drink I Make Him

Mix and have him drink it first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. Without the secret part, it's only half of it.

That's the half everyone gets. The secret part is the half that changed our house.

For about two years, my husband went quiet. Early nights. Excuses. Every time I asked, the same answer: "It's nothing." Then I found out every single one of my friends had the same story about her husband.

What started my research was a woman I met on a trip, married to a man twice her age who didn't act anything like it. I asked her, not him, what his secret was. It wasn't a pill. It was something he took every morning.

The best explanation I found: after 40, the spongy tissue that's supposed to fill and expand can slowly stiffen. The sponge becomes scar, and scar does not swell. Pushing more blood into it, which is what the drink and most pills do, is only half of it.

So every morning, right next to his drink, I give him one more thing. It's built around the other half, the tissue itself. They call it "The Gelatin Horse Trick," and the strangest part is where it comes from: the tendons of a Percheron stallion. That part you can't make in your kitchen. The next page explains it better than I can.

Guys: I'm not going to tell you what changed at our house. Let's just say I've been late for work more than once. Ladies: if he's "just tired," he isn't. He's embarrassed. Send him this page.
